FARMERS MARKET NEWS (posted – 02/18/13):
Farmers Friday Market Seeks Vendors – Preparing for 2013 Season
The 2013 season of the Illinois Valley’s Farmers Friday Market begins on Friday July 5th from 4pm to 7pm at the Selma Community and Education Center. The market will again rotate between Selma and the Cave Junction site behind the Illinois Valley Safe House Alliance (and the DMV) next to the community garden with the first Cave Junction market on July 12th.
The market is a great place for community to gather, share, trade, and visit. The market continues to provide a venue for small farms, crafters, businesses, and food vendors to connect with local customers, market their products, and get their names and products out into the community. The Farmers’ Friday Market is also a great place to visit with friends, connect with the community, and support our local food system. Call Kay at 597-2273 for more information about becoming a vendor or market volunteer.
